Dan Ross, Pharm.D.
As President of D. Ross Consulting, Dr. Ross provides hospitals and health systems with assessments and training in patient and medication safety, pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance and performance improvement.
In the last year he has performed medication safety assessments at over 30 hospitals, provided regulatory compliance consulting for four hospitals, served as interim Director of Pharmacy at two hospitals, including City of Hope National Medical Center, and also served as a consultant for the Institute of Safe Medication Practices (ISMP).
Prior to starting his consulting firm, Dr. Ross served as the Director of Pharmacy and Medication Safety at Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), a non-profit system with over 40 hospitals in California, Arizona and Nevada. In this role he had responsibility for developing and implementing system-wide initiatives to improve clinical quality and patient safety related to medication use. Dr. Ross is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy.

Amy Gutierrez, Pharm.D.
Dr. Gutierrez is the Pharmacy Director for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) and, as such, provides oversight concerning inpatient and ambulatory care pharmacy policy, drug formulary management, medication safety, Federal regulatory compliance and public health policy relating to medication use.
Dr. Gutierrez co-chairs LA County's DHS Pharmacy & Therapeutics and Medication Safety Committees, and oversees a $160 million annual pharmaceutical budget. In 2008, Dr. Gutierrez was the leader of an award winning project resulting in a $46 million cost savings entitled "System-Wide Pharmaceutical Management."
Dr. Gutierrez is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, serving as a preceptor for an administrative pharmacy rotation. Having completed a 2-year California Healthcare Leadership Fellowship in 2007, she also serves in an advisory capacity for CHCF's Healthcare Leadership program. Dr. Gutierrez is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy. |
